Title: The Electronic Border Control System

Abstract: The border of Repablic of Serbia has big international importance because this border is gateway for penetration of smuggling of people, arms, drugs, cigarettes etc. to Europe through Balkan. The border is becoming a part of a wide combat against all kinds of criminal and terrorist activities, prevent illegal migration and protect the economics order at southern borders of Europe. The electronic border control system is one of moust important part of the border protect.

The system consists:

¨        sensors and interface between sensors and communication,

¨        communication for transmission all kinds of data and information, and

¨        Command and Control Center with GIS.

There are different type of  sensors. The backbone of the system should consists of communication system, prescribed by Shengen conventions for these purposes, capable to support all global system functions for long periog of years, and the command-control and information system based on the software which will be developed in the country on the bases of foreign experiance  and be compatible to the other software  in the system which are under development or will be developed for state authorities needs of Republic of Serbia.
